Fancy Little Filet Bites (Crock Pot Garlic Butter Filet)

These Fancy Little Filet Bites are melt-in-your-mouth tender and finished in rich garlic butter. The filet is quickly seared for flavor, then cooked for a short time in the crock pot to keep it juicy and perfectly tender. An elegant yet easy appetizer or main dish that’s perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 4 –5 lbs filet tenderloin cut into bite-size pieces
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 4 –5 cloves garlic minced
  • tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season filet bites evenly with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear steak bites in batches for 1–2 minutes per side, just until browned. Do not cook through.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30–45 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Transfer seared filet bites to the crock pot. Pour garlic butter evenly over the steak.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 45 minutes, gently stirring once halfway through.
  6. Spoon garlic butter over the filet bites and garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Filet is very lean, so avoid cooking longer than 45–60 minutes to keep the meat tender.
  • Searing first adds flavor without drying out the steak.
  • This recipe works best on HIGH for a short cooking time.
