Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Toss broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well coated.
- Spread broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut sides down if possible.
- Roast for 18–22 minutes, flipping once halfway, until broccoli is browned and crispy at the edges.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with lemon zest, squeeze fresh lemon juice over top, and finish with Parmesan.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot.
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd the pan — use two pans if needed
- Roast on the top rack for extra crisp edges
- Add Parmesan while the broccoli is hot so it melts slightly
- For extra flavor, finish with flaky sea salt
